DANCE INTENSIVE PREP: JULY 30-AUGUST 3 | 12-15 YEARS
Students participate in Modern, Ballet and Jazz technique classes, introduction to choreography and strength/conditioning. Classes are a preparation for the dance intensive programs. Participants also learn choreography and have the opportunity to perform at the showing for friends and family on Friday. Auditions are required.
Monday-Friday 10am-4:30pm | $500 | Held at Dancewave
SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE: AUGUST 13-17 & AUGUST 20-24 | 12-16 YEARS
Students participate in Modern and Ballet training focused on core strength, balance and flexibility while incorporating center work, combinations and choreography. Afternoon elective workshop choices include Hip Hop, Salsa, Musical Theater and African Dance. Additional highlights include Work-in-Progress showings and Q&A with professional NYC choreographers and performance opportunity for friends and family during our Friday Student Showcase. Auditions are required.

ADVANCED SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE: AUGUST 20-24 | 16-20 YEARS
Students participate in an advanced professional level Ballet and Modern technique classes. Afternoon classes include repertory with the Kate Weare Company. Performance opportunity for friends and family during our Friday Student Showcase. Auditions are required.
Utilizing repertory material from a variety of Weare's work, students will explore the nature of powerful performing: clear yet nuanced phrasing, sensitivity to self and others, moment-to-moment decisions that shape meaning in a viewer's eye, and authenticity in interpretation - all hallmarks of Weare's work and the Kate Weare Company dancers.

ABOUT THE ASDI GUEST ARTISTS
THRYN SAXON was born and raised in Miami, Florida where she attended New World School of the Arts High School. In 2014, Saxon received her BFA in Dance from Florida State University. She spent her first year in New York as an apprentive with the Bill T Jones/Arnie Zane Company and had the honor of performing with them in New York and Baltimore. Saxon has had the privilege of performing works in NYC by John Zullo and Rosie DeAngelo and is also currently performing with SpacesOfFontana and Julia Ehrstrand. Saxon is thrilled to be starting her third season as a company member with Kate Weare Company.
CAROLINE FERMIN is a graduate of the Julliard School with a BFA in Dance. She is a founding member of Gallim Dance. She currently performs as a freelancer and teaches across the nation, working with nonprofits, schools, and groups of artists. She is a member of Artists Striving to End Poverty and runs a dance/theater summer program at Snow College.
KATE WEARE COMPANY is an New York-based contemporary dance company known for its startling combination of formal choreographic values and visceral, emotional interpretation. Weare’s dances explore contemporary views of intimacy, both tender and stark, by drawing on our most basic urges to move and decode movement.
