  Dedrick Lee Anthony
Modern Ballet, Street Jazz

Originally from Michigan, Dedrick Lee Anthony is a graduate of The Ailey School, the official school of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. He has performed in regional theatre productions such as Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar, Ain't Misbehavin' and Guys & Dolls. Dedrick has had the opportunities to perform in Switzerland, France, Germany, Belgium, Hawaii, and the Bahamas. He has worked with companies such as School Zone, Norwegian Cruise Lines, ABC, Adidas, L'Oreal Professionnel, and Vogue Italia. Currently residing in New York City, he teaches across the nation and is an award winning choreographer.


Dominica Baird
Dominica Baird's love of dancing and fitness brought her into the world of Zumba. She had a lifelong passion for visual arts that led into a successful career as a fashion designer. Three years ago, she decided to leave the corporate world to pursue teaching Zumba full-time. Since then, she has had the pleasure of leading
Zumba classes to a wide range of participants—ages ranging from 3 years old to 80+. She was also a featured dancer in a music video produced by Zumba for Wyclef Jean.



Lisa Bostwick
Ballet IB, Ballet IIB, Ballet III, Young Performers Ballet Ensemble

Lisa Bostwick trained at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and BalletMet. She received a B.S. from Butler University as well as studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg Russia. Lisa performed with the Alabama Ballet for seven years and with former MMDG dancer, Teri Weksler, the director of Birmingham’s resident modern dance company Southern Danceworks, for nine years.



Clare Cook
Clare has her MFA in Dance from NYU-Tisch and has taught dance for over ten years in various studios, workshops, and school programs in Louisiana and New York City regions. She has worked with children, teens, adults and professional dancers in the areas of modern dance, ballet, jazz dance, musical theater, hip hop, dance improvisation, and creative movement idioms. Her company, Clare Cook Dance Theater, recently presented Show Me Real at the New York Musical Theatre Festival and has established the Great Girls Create music and dance workshop program with collaborator, MiCo Arts. Clare works as a dance and movement teaching artist with The Metropolitan Opera Guild and prior to this served as the Education Director for the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, coordinating the company's in-school education program in public and private schools in the New York City region. In 2010, Clare joined the Louisiana State University Department of Theater faculty as a guest teacher of modern dance, and she continues to choreograph and teach dance workshops regularly in Louisiana. Clare's teaching philosophy encourages dancers to push the boundaries between building and executing a natural technical facility and simultaneously developing a personal movement personality and artistry. Maria Hanley Blakemore

Creative Ballet, Creative Movement

Maria F. Hanley grew up in small town Corry, Pennsylvania and moved to NYC in 2005 where she now resides. She has danced since she was 3 and always knew she wanted to inspire children dance. She has studied genres which include ballet, tap, and modern dance but spends most of her days teaching energetic and creative children and baby classes .


Maria holds a Master’s degree in dance education (2007) from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in dance performance from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania (2005). An advocate for early childhood dance education, Maria is currently a movement and yoga specialist at York Avenue Preschool on the Upper East Side, a creative movement and tap teacher at Mark Morris Dance Group, and teaches early childhood movement classes at Dancewave Center, both in Brooklyn, NY.  Maria also designs and teaches ballet and movement programs for the young families division at the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan. Maria has been a teaching artist and collaborator for New York City Ballet education programs for the past 3 years and has enjoyed offering dance to elementary students around the boroughs. Recently she completed 30 hours of kids yoga teacher training and is CPR and First Aid Certified.


Maria is also the creator of Maria’s Movers, a program that offers dance, movement and yoga classes to boys and girls ages 2-5 years old around New York City. Maria’s Movers began in 2008 and has been growing every day! Author of the blog Move. Create. Educate. Maria shares her innovative ideas for teaching young dancers with growing imaginations.

Maria has been selected to serve on the Dance/NYC Youth Advisory Committee for 2010/2011.

Megan Lynn
 Megan Lynn began her dance training at the Dance Conservatory of Maryland, where she became a soloist with the Harford Ballet Company. She continued her studies at the Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance, performing principal roles in The Nutcracker and Maryland Dance Project. In addition, Megan has trained at Ballet Royale, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Point Park University, Richmond Ballet, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and the Deborah Colker School. Megan graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Dance Performance/Choreography from Goucher College in 2011. At Goucher, she had the privilege of working with Christopher Fleming, Heidi Henderson, Zippora Karz, Larry Keigwin, and many others. While a student, she was a member of the Moving Classroom Project, an outreach program integrating art and academics in Baltimore City schools. Since relocating to New York, Megan has had the opportunity to work with Allison Brzezinski, Teresa Fellion, Isabel Lewis, and the TSH Dance Project. She teaches and choreographs for pre-professional dancers of all ages throughout Maryland and New York.  Megan is currently working with the Journey Worship Arts Team, Matthew Westerby Company, and her own company Asterial Dance.


 Nicola Penfold
Young Movers Ensemble, Modern II, Adult Modern Dance Workout

Nicola Penfold trained at the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance in London and has since gained her qualified teacher status with Bath Spa University in the U.K. Nicola is a dancer and education facilitator for Influx Dance Company, which has been touring since 2001 with its own choreography as well as commissioned work from artists including Yael Flexer and Bawren Tavaziva. Nicola's artistic style is informed by her background in modern dance, ballet and yoga as well as world arts. Nicola has performed and taught in Europe, India, Thailand, The Gambia as well as here in the U.S where Influx Dance is creating a new piece.



ChristinaNoel Reaves

After a BFA in Music: Voice Performance from Georgia State University, and an MFA in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, ChristinaNoel Reaves pursues dance and voice performance and instruction, choreography, and music composition. In addition to singing in Operas and Musicals, she has had the privilege of dancing for David Dorfman, Doug Elkins, Ivy Baldwin, Curt Haworth, Christopher Williams, Gary Abbott, and Candess Giayan and Melanie Lynch-Blanchard of Zoetic Dance Ensemble-Atlanta, with whom Christina Noel was a dance instructor to children and adults.

Criscia Richardson
Hip Hop Basics

Criscia Richardson is a dance and choreography graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is an alumna of the Long Island School of the Arts. She has made recent appearances on “So You Think You Can Dance”, season 5 and season 6 as a Las Vegas Finalist. She has also been on shows such as “True Life,” I’m a Stepper," “One Life to Live” and Starr X’ed Lovers, the musical. Criscia has also had the joy of performing at the magical Walt Disney World, opening “A Totally Tomorrow Land X-Mas.” She had toured various cities with Making the Band’s Donnie Klang, and sailed the seas as a dancer on board the Carnival Cruise Lines. She is now proud to represent her home town, New York as a Knicks City Dancer.



Ella Rosewood
Creative Ballet

Ella Rosewood is a life-long mover, choreographer and educator. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she graduated with honors from the University of Wisconin-Madison in 2010 with dual degrees in Dance and Elementary Education.  While still in college, she formed her own company, Ella Rosewood Dance.  Since then, she has show her work nationally in NY, WI, MN, and internationally in Taipei, Taiwan.  Ella has been teaching dance to all ages for over six years and had the privilege to attended the 92nd Street Y’s Dance Education Lab and the American Dance Festival on full scholarship.  Her educational outreach programs created in conjunction with her solo show “Second Skin” were featured in the May/June 2011 Inspiration issue of Dance Studio Life Magazine.  Now based in New York, Ella is the Education Coordinator for the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company (New York Live Arts) and heads the social media for Heidi Latsky Dance.   She dances with JoAnna Mendl Shaw’s Equus Projects: Dancing with Horses and absolutely loves sharing her passion for movement.  www.ellarosewooddance.com



Matthew Westerby
Dancewave Company III, Modern IIA, Ballet IIA

Matthew Westerby is originally from the UK and trained at Laban, London. Since moving to New York, he has danced for Nai-Ni Chen, Risa Jaroslow, Dusan Tynek, Peter Kyle, Sue Hogan, Bronwen MacArthur, Tze Chun, Kenny Larson, Covenant Ballet Theatre and Roland Gebhardt's The Only Tribe. He has been choreographing in London and New York since 2000, and formed Matthew Westerby Company in 2008. The Company has led the successful Project Poetry Live! (CT) for the past two seasons, and recently presented a sold-out New York season at University Settlement. His works have been presented at the The Place (London), Laban (London), the Evolve Festival (Tarrytown, NY), Dance New Amsterdam, the College of Staten Island,  Naugatuck Valley Community College (Connecticut), WAX Works, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Movement Research, 60 x 60 and the International Contemporary Dance Performance Festival (Poland). He was commissioned by Dancewave Company II, Covenant Ballet Theatre and Naugatuck Valley College Dance Dept. in the 2010-11 season.
