Dancewave Through College & Beyond (DTCB) is a one of a kind nationwide event, serving hundreds of high school students annually. Providing a much-needed service to the dance industry and to high school students, DTCB offers talented young dancers the opportunity to connect, one-on-one, with renowned faculty and choreographers from colleges across the country, forming personal connections between the current generation of leading dance professionals and the next. This event helps students fully explore college dance opportunities and to assist them in navigating the college admissions process.
DTCB includes audition and scholarship opportunities for eligible students, plus a college fair, panels, workshops, and more to prospective college students seeking continued education in Dance. Panel discussions and workshops help students dream and translate their dance study and skills into exciting career paths beyond stage performance. DTCB auditions bring panelists from up to 35 colleges from across the country into the room, maximizing families’ time and resources. Attendees can opt to receive Dancewave’s integral DTCB College Guide, which serves as a central reference outlining the strongpoints and differences between up to 50 college programs represented in the event. Overall, DTCB attendees are better prepared to make the most of their college dance experience.
