Giving Tuesday is December 1st. Join us as we open our doors for in-person classes, offered in honor of this global generosity movement. All proceeds from these $10 donation-based classes go to Dancewave’s Fall Fundraiser (consider adding on an extra $5 donation to further your gift!). We have lowered our semester pricing to promote the broadest possible access to dance for families during this challenging time. Our usual Multi-class and Sibling Discounts (10% off each additional class) still apply.

New this season: Drop-ins! Not ready to sign up for the full semester? Take a single class, anytime. Drop-in during the first two weeks of the semester and you can switch to a semester plan up until October 16.

We train our teaching artists annually to provide a supportive classroom environment for all students. Dancewave teaching artists and staff work closely together to invest in our young dancers’ social, emotional and overall wellbeing.

Looking for deeper artistic growth and professional mentorship?
Dancewave welcomes new students ages 7-18 to apply to join our Dancewave Company class and rehearsal process for Fall 2020 Semester. Company students work closely with renowned choreographers building up to a culminating Virtual Performance this semester. Application is by students’ own video submission (no pre-set dance material is provided).

Our proven effective training, based on the Dancewave Culture Model, provides young artists with leadership development, individual mentoring and restorative whole-person education. Dancewave Company Program students interested in pursuing dance after high school receive specialized college counseling from our teaching staff and our unique nationwide college event, Dancewave Through College & Beyond.

3-6 Year Olds  
Storytelling Through Dance Thursdays, 3:30-4:15pm
Teaching Artist: Natalie Stehly
Tuition: $245 (Fall semester) | $20 (Drop-in)
Students are guided by a series of stories that engage their imagination and encourage a playful creative way of moving. Discover new movement connectivity, body awareness, and strengthen coordination. Improvisational approach builds confidence.

7-9 Year Olds  
Modern Fundamentals Mondays, 4:00­-4:45pm
Teaching Artist: Katie Skinner
Tuition: $245 (Fall semester) | $20 (full-year)
Building foundations of modern dance technique including suspension and release, fall and recovery, the use of momentum and connecting breath with movement. Dancers will explore new ways of moving through combinations, floor work, and improvisation.

Ballet Fundamentals Wednesdays, 4:00-4:45pm
Teaching Artist: Hailey Kemp
Tuition: $245 (Fall semester) | $20 (Drop-in)
Introduces students to a traditional ballet class structure, sequence and phrase work. Throughout this class, dancers will familiarize themselves with ballet terminology and proper alignment.

9-11 Year Olds  
Ballet Technique Wednesdays, 4:45-5:45pm
Teaching Artist: Maddie Warriner
Tuition: $258 (Fall semester) | $22 (Drop-ins)
Introducing students to a traditional ballet class structure, sequence and phrase work. Throughout this class, dancers will familiarize themselves with ballet terminology and proper alignment.

Modern Technique Thursdays, 4:15-5:15pm
Teaching Artist: Aria Roach
Tuition: $258 (Fall semester) | $22 (Drop-ins)
Beginner/intermediate level Modern class focused on fundamentals of modern dance technique and choreography. Students explore improvisation techniques and basic choreography exercises.

11-13 Year Olds  
Modern Technique Tuesdays, 4:15-5:30pm
Teaching Artist: Phoebe Ballard
Tuition: $271 (Fall semester) | $24 (Drop-ins)
Intermediate class ideal for students that have taken at least 1-2 years of Modern. Refining strength, release, groundedness, suspension and spatial awareness.

Ballet Technique Fridays, 5:45-7:00pm
Teaching Artist: Martha Chapman
Tuition: $271 (Fall semester) | $24 (Drop-ins)
Intermediate class ideal for students that have taken at least 2 years of Ballet. Refining alignment, positioning, and incorporating more complex sequences.

13-16 Year Olds  
Ballet Technique Thursdays, 6:15-7:45pm
Teaching Artist: Annalee Traylor
Tuition: $284 (Fall semester) | $25 (Drop-ins)
An intermediate/advanced class ideal for students that have taken at least 2 years of Ballet. Refining alignment within complex sequences with added focus on on jumps, turns.

Modern Technique Saturdays, 2:00-3:30pm
Teaching Artist: Dedrick Lee Anthony
Tuition: $284 (Fall semester) | $25 (Drop-ins)
An intermediate/advanced class ideal for students that have taken at least 2 years of Modern. Dancers encouraged to challenge themselves in learning complex modern phrase work, weight transfers, quick footwork and inversions.

16-18 Year Olds  
Ballet Technique Wednesdays, 5:45-7:15pm
Teaching Artist: Paige Horton
Tuition: $284 (Fall semester) | $25 (Drop-ins)
An intermediate/advanced class ideal for students that have taken at least 3 years of Ballet. Refining alignment within complex sequences with added focus on on jumps, turns, and artistry.

Modern Technique Saturdays, 10:00-11:30am
Teaching Artist: Loni Landon
Tuition: $284 (Fall semester) | $25 (Drop-ins)
An intermediate/advanced class ideal for students that have taken at least 3 years of Modern. Dancers encouraged to challenge themselves in learning complex modern phrase work, weight transfers, quick footwork and inversions; explore embodied movement, choreography and improvisations.
