This Contemporary dance class offers a unique blend of dance training techniques and styles (Flying Low, Cunningham, Release) and playful improvisation tools and strategies designed to ignite creativity, enhance physical ability, and broaden versatility as movers. The class focuses on building strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and movement mechanics through a series of exercises that study the shape and pathways of energy in space.

Whether you’ve danced before or always wanted to, we welcome you to Modern Jazz Dance. Open-level classes for adults begin with thirty minutes of exercise, designed to increase flexibility as well as strengthen, lengthen and tone muscles. Then We Dance, combining movements that incorporate a range of dance styles to form different routines weekly. Our minds are challenged as we learn new routines. Our hearts smile as we express ourselves creatively. Our spirits rise as we celebrate the joy of dance. Hybrid Class taught In-Studio and Virtually via Zoom.
