Community Programs Manager

Jessie Sector (she/her) is an Astoria, NY based artist and educator who has been dancing her whole life. She has performed both nationally and internationally with Pilobolus Dance Theater, and is a teaching artist with the company. Independently, Jessie has choreographed, performed, and consulted for TV, film, and live performances throughout NYC, and teaches classes to students ages 2-92 in a variety of styles.

She attended SUNY Brockport, where she received her BA in Dance, a BA in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children, and her NYS teaching certifications for elementary and elementary special education. In her spare time, Jessie is also a rock climber and climbing instructor. Jessie is excited to be joining Dancewave with the Community Programs Department to bring more opportunities to students of all ages and backgrounds to move, collaborate, and to create.
